Easy Peasy Photo Valentines | Houston Portrait Photographer

A list of supplies needed:
1. Make N Mold Products: heart-shaped molds, 2 colors of melting wafers, lollipop wrapping kit, decorating bottle or toothpicks (available at craft stores, like Michaels, or online).
2. Packaging Supplies: gardener’s twine from Michaels, pink & white baker’s twine or ribbon of choice, scissors, hole punch, double-sided tape, washi tape (optional), thick cardstock available at Michael”s, cute photo

And that’s it…simple, sweet, & homemade! Who wouldn’t love to get a Valentine Card like that?

New Green Chair + Handmade Tutu | Houston Portrait Photographer for Babies, Children, & Families

I have been scouring the local flea markets lately for some fun props and items to refurbish and use in our own home. I was looking high and low for something like this and yesterday…voila! I found it…a pint-sized light green chair. Absolutely perfect for Baby O, and for other adorable toddlers I look forward to photographing this year. Babies who are just starting to stand can easily hold on – the wide base of the chair gives some added support. And, one-year-olds like Baby O, who looove imitating their parents, will think it’s cool to have a little seat all their own (which is low enough that I don’t have to panic when she tries to stand on it).

Dinosaur Baby & Vintage Dress | Houston Portrait Photographer

I love these types of photos very much though, I have to say, I love our candid photos too. When I do Baby & Children Portraits, I strive to capture the personality of the subject. Perhaps because I have a toddler myself, I am constantly mesmerized by how she can be part my husband and part me, and yet so incredibly, uniquely her own person. It is awe-inspiring (& endlessly entertaining) to watch! I think every little kid is like this and I love getting to photograph them.
