Ball-Theme Birthday Invites | Houston Portrait Photographer for Babies, Kids, & Families

My older sister thought it would be fun to plan a ball theme party for his First Birthday. She was inspired by this lady’s party and I offered to help make the invitations, based off of the invitation from that party.

A Valentine’s Day Giveaway | Houston Portrait Photographer for Babies, Kids, & Families

Okay, who among you hasn’t had a creative idea before, only to have your best plans thwarted by events out of your control? I was bound and determined to photograph a Cupid & a Cowboy this weekend (milestone photo shoots for two very special clients’ kids), however the Houston weather would not cooperate. Would you believe it was too cold? Seriously, I can hardly believe it myself, but indeed it was. I guess that groundhog knew a thing or two. Friday was miserably rainy and Saturday and Sunday were unexpectedly frigid. Why it was downright winter-y (quite unusual for us this year). Best Beginner’s Crochet Hat Patterns…Ever | Houston Baby, Child, & Family Portrait Photographer

I wanted to take a moment to post about these hat patterns, in the event that there are any readers out there who think it would be fun to crochet something simple, but are a tad intimidated to start. Enter…Adrienne Engar. Her instructions are SO easy to follow. The patterns I bought from her were the first hats I ever crocheted…and they’re getting a ton of use. (Resources at bottom of post.)
Post Update: I’ve just learned about a current Project put on by “Craft Hope”, requesting that people make crocheted beanies and tote bags for pediatric oncology patients. Want to get crafty?…I’d love to get a small group together to make some things for this wonderful Project.
