Well, I had myself a nice little unexpected break from the computer. No particular reason other than that O was sick with a myriad of bugs and I seemed to catch one of them around the time she was getting better. As much as I looove my computer (and I do), it was somewhat liberating to step away from it for a few days (or was it a week?
). So, here is a quick post to share one of my favorite things O has made lately…Her “Desktop Dragon” for her Daddy’s new desk. I really love it. We also made one with her cousins for their Nonno’s garden, to help plants grow because, of course, that’s what dragons are known for, right? hehe. Anyway, You may have seen an earlier post I did about a previous painting play date. That, as well as this dragon, were painted at a local “paint your own pottery” joint. I was a bit worried at the time that perhaps 20 months is simply too young for this kind of craft. But, I think her interest is increasing. I personally love handmade kids’ gifts and hope to be the recipient of many more in the future. If you have a little one at home, you might consider checking out a pottery painting place too! And be encouraged…it’s probably never too young to start. (Painted hand or foot prints on a mug make an excellent gift!)

I love that little dragon and the tiny hands that painted it.
