We love having a special weekend Brunch here at our home-sweet-home. We sort of started it before Baby O came along, but now that we’re a Family, it seems only right to have some family traditions. To be honest, we haven’t done it in a while, but Sunday morning I woke up thinking we could use something a little festive to get the day started. I looked around for ideas and saw this cute little Cake Pop maker tucked in the corner of the pantry. My sister lent it to me to try out and I haven’t had a chance yet. But, Cake Pops for Breakfast (or even donut holes), as tempting as they may sound, didn’t sound like the right kick-start to the day. I decided to make “Waffle Pops”! Why not?…Okay, so they aren’t on a stick, so perhaps they should be called “Waffle Bites”, but I think “Pops” is catchier.

…Now, to be honest, I just used Bisquick for this. I usually love making things from scratch, but, for the purpose of experimenting, I wanted something quick and easy to whip up. I just dropped a spoonful of the batter in each hole and waited for 3-4 minutes for each batch to cook.
(Above) She lent me those tiny tongs to help get the goodies out of the pan and they were helpful indeed! (Below) This is what happened when I started to pour too much batter into the holes…the lid wouldn’t even shut…
…But, the result was kind of funny…They looked like little mini-Saturns!…

…Time to eat!…
Curious what our Picky Eater thought of this breakfast?…

…Yep, that’s a Happy Customer! Success!!! Thanks, Carolyn, for lending me your machine!!

That’s a really good idea and they look delicious! I like O’s dinosaur shirt.
Thanks! They were yummy! And I too love the shirt…I get excited when I find clothes for her that have interesting animals, etc. This one is from HappyFamily.
