I am getting soo excited for the upcoming Wedding of Cris & Kaitlin that I’m photographing in Austin in a few weeks. (Is that sentence proper English?…Hmm, oh well.) Anyway, while sort of day-dreaming about the potential detail shots of their reception, I started thinking about a fun idea for my blog – It seems like it would be neat to incorporate some posts about Wedding Color Combos. This kind of post could work well for Party Themes as well (such as Kids’ Birthday Parties, or Baby Showers). Cris & Kaitlin’s colors are “Clover Green and White”. I did a quick search and found some wonderfully fun reception/party ideas for this color scheme (and/or simliar ones).
One thing I really like about a Green color scheme is how it lends itself to all things “nature”. I tried to find some great shots of mason-jar drinking glasses or centerpieces, some kind of topiary placecard settings, and so forth, but didn’t find just the right thing. I did, however, find several cute things on Etsy & thought it would be another good chance to highlight some of the wonderfully creative and unique items for sale there {I am a HUGE fan of self-employed artists!}. Here it is…My first Color Inspiration Board featuring the color ”Green”…

Wow, gorgeous finds! I especially love those pinwheels. Thank you!
This is such a fun idea! Can I suggest the next color combo? I have a friend who is getting married in September (Labor Day weekend) and wants to do a blue/peachy-pinky combination. The bridesmaids are wearing navy and she wants to incorporate blue hydrangeas but is unsure about how to bring in the peachy-pinks.
Absolutely, I'll see what I come up with!
[...] Jane Foster Photography. The photo is one I took last July when we were visiting up in Smithers. I love this photo- you can almost feel the late evening sun, and the idyllic, carefree mood I was in. We were kicking a ball around in the field with my bro, and I took a minute (or two, haha) to catch the setting sun. [...]
