My Little Helper

Today I set out to accomplish a few goals…My standard, run-of-the-mill goals such as do and/or fold laundry, make up beds, walk dogs, cook dinner – as well as test out studio lights in nursery {I want to start offering the option to clients of my bringing studio lights to their home for their portrait sessions…I think this will work very well for certain types of sessions, such as newborn portraits, or family portraits}. So, here I go, setting up lights and testing exposure settings and then I look over at this sweet little face and I loose my train of thought {once again!….}. Man, I love this face.Here’s a fun Photo Tip…One of the awesome things about using a SoftBox for a portrait session is the lovely rectangular catchlight it creates in the subject’s eyes. I really love it! But, I think it “reads” better if the catchlight is above the pupil, rather than below it {i.e., in this situation, I could have moved the SoftBox to be positioned camera-right. I’m not sure if this makes sense, or if it’s just my opinion. I moved it, of course, but as luck would have it, Baby O decided she was done posing as soon as I did.;-)}
